Badges for Cub Scouts
The following badges are specific to the Cub Scouts, and as such can only be gained while in the Cub Scout Section. When moving from Cubs to Scouts these badges do not transfer as there are new Scout specific badges available.
In addition to the badges below there are the Staged Activity badges which are available to all sections.
The Challenge badges
There are seven Challenge Badges that have been developed to extend a Cub Scouts skills and experience. They are the
the Promise Challenge, the Community Challenge, the Creative Challenge, the Fitness Challenge, the Global Challenge, the Outdoor Challenge and finally the Outdoor Plus Challenge.
Activity badges
Activity badges are optional but provide an opportunity to reward a young person who has taken part in an activity over a period of time. Cub Scouts currently have thirty-five activity badges covering a range of topics including Astronomer, Athlete, Chief, Communicator, Global Conservation,
Map Reader, Navigator, Road Safety and Scientist.
The Chief Scout's Silver Award
This badge is the highest award available in the Sub Scout Section. It is gained after successfully completing all of the Challenge Badges.
